There’s a Turkish saying that goes, “One language one person, two languages two persons,” says Dino Lingo founder, Serdar Acar. “Before I moved to the United States, I did some backpacking in India and Nepal. My English was not as good then as it is now, but English was the only language I could communicate with when I was traveling. I made lots of friends and gained a great experience from it. That same year, I went to Morocco for business where Arabic is the official language. Everybody also spoke French. I realized that being able to communicate in those two languages opened new doors and opportunities for me.”
There are many language programs on the market geared for adults. But, scientists agree that the best time for anyone to learn a foreign language is when they are young — preferably before puberty hits. I’m really fortunate because my son can attend a local Korean school on the weekends to hone his language skills. But many of my friends who live in rural areas say they don’t have those kinds of options for their children.
So, I am super excited to announce my latest giveaway. Dino Lingo has reached out and given me FIVE programs to give away to my followers. If you’re one of the winners, you get to pick from any of the 45 language programs that they offer (including Korean, French and Croatian). Dino Lingo will send a code to input at checkout to all the winners. FYI: the code is good for any one of their programs that are on sale for $89.95.
This contest is open to U.S. residents.
NOTE: Dino Lingo has said that if you reside outside the U.S. and still want to enter, they can ship your package — however — they will charge you $29 for shipping/handling. So, if you don’t reside in the U.S. and don’t want to pay for s/h, it’s best not to enter. ? I don’t want to hear any complaining about, “But…but…I didn’t knnnnooooowwwww…”
To enter, follow the rules:
MUST DO:
1) ✅ You must follow one of my social media accounts (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook). I will be checking. I really will! (You’ll get additional entries for each account that you follow. Woot!).
2) ✅ Leave a comment on one of my social media accounts. Be sure to tag me, so that I know you’ve entered.
OPTIONAL:
3) ✅ Tag a friend on any of those social media accounts. But also be sure to tag me, so that I can credit you for that. (Each tag/share will earn an additional entry).
4) ✅ Enter via Rafflecopter below. (If you’re an adoptee who’d like to learn your birth language, please be sure to check out the last option. You will receive 5 additional entries.)
5) ✅ Leave a comment on this page and tell me what language you’d like to learn.
Good luck! Check back right here on Dec. 16th to see if you’ve won.
This contest is open to residents of the United States. (If you reside outside of the U.S. and still want to enter, Dino Lingo said you will be eligible IF you are willing to pay $29 for shipping and handling.) You must be least 18 years old. It will end at 11:59 p.m. Central Time on Dec. 15, 2015. Entrants will be verified to make sure they followed the proper procedures and the winners will be contacted by email within 48 hours after the giveaway ends. If a winner does not respond, we reserve the right to give the prize to a runner up. The prize will be shipped directly from Dino Lingo. Thank you and good luck!
I am shamelessly admitting that if I wint this, I will not give it to a child but rather will use it myself to learn Korean. I can do OK at a restaurant but if it doesn’t involve food, I’m a goner!
I don’t live in American but I am more than willing to pay the $29US shippinig (see, I did read the fine print!) to ship this internationally! Thank you. I would love the Dutch program!
What fun! I’m not sure what language I’d pick if I won… maybe French or Spanish. I leanred those in high school and then forgot them a few year later.
Commenting, following, and retweeting. I want my child to grow up speaking Norwegian like my wife. Thank you!
I’d love the opportunity to win the Swedish language program. Thanks!
I speak 3 languages but cannot for the life of me get my children interested in learning. I hope that this DVD set could help them get interested. I would pick Croatian, Spanish or Japanese.
Pick me! (Didd I win?! Haha) I pick Spanish!
I’ve always wanted to learn to speak Mandarin. I don’t remember any that I learned in high school to be honest. Following on all fronts! I hope I win!
This would make my Christmas! I’ve been eyeballing this for my daughter but didn’t have enough money for it. I’d love to reinforce her Spanish roots!
Fun! I’ve always wanted to learn a new language and would like to learn with my baby, who will probably pick up French much quicker than me. Thanx!
What a great prize! You’re like Santa Claus, Jae. 🙂 I already follow your social media accounts and will gladly share them with my followers. I hope I win this amazing prize. Thanks for the opportunity! Oh I would pick the program to teach children Croatian or Spanish.
Welsh?!! LOL! I’d be interested in learning that actually.
I’m trying to learn Korean. My children are trying, as well. So, so wish I were fluent.
My nieces are learning Mandarn and my nephew is learning German. It’s important for American children to learn foreign languages, too.
I wish I knew Chinese so I can talk to my lovely lady in her language
I think exposure to any second language early greatly increases a person’s facility with picking up additional languages later. I don’t mean fluency…. I mean Grandma tossing out some Croatian to a preschooler will enhance that child’s ability to get quickly up to speed conversationally for the college year abroad in… wherever.
really wish I had learned Polish as a child. It is a hard language, almost as hard as any Asian language I’m sure but it sounds like learning languages are easier when you are a small child.
I’ve tried using Rosetta Stone and even get a daily email with the Polish word of the day but no luck.
I am learning Korean, I want to learn Chinese too..
I have never ever been good at languages, but my son picks them up really easily. I would like to encourage him to become bilingual. I would pick languages from our heritage, so I would pick Japanese, French or German. Thank you!
Thank you for all of your giveaways. This giveaway is very beneficial to me and the kids! Would love for all the kids to learn Korean so they can bond better with my mother. I would love to communicate with my mother better as well.
I would love the Spanish program. Thank you for the wonderful giveaway.
Erin
I would love to have the Korean or Spanish program. I really hope to be bilingual one day and no doubt this fantastic giveaway would give me the chance! Thank you for doing such a wonderful giveaway! Wishing you the best! – Chelsea
Pick me please please please! I would love to win this for my niece. She is trying to learn Mandarin in school and is having a difficult time. This would be the perfect Christmas gift for her. Thank you!
What a fun opportunity! I would pick Korean or French if I won!
I would pick Korean! Thank you for hosting this giveaway. 🙂
Hi Jae, I would pick Korean for my daughter or Spanish for my son, who already speaks Korean. I wish my daughter was fluent like him.:)
Korean!!!
Would really love for Dominic to learn Italian from his Italian heritage. I know some Polish, but we don’t know any Italian What an awesome opportunity
Congrats to Mari Z., Mateo C., Jenny L., Jong P. and Jennifer P. You’ve each won a Dino Lingo for Children Language Program. Congrats! 🙂
