Actor Park Bo-Gum, 27, will enlist in the Korean navy this August. But before he goes, he’s leaving fans with two films, a K-Drama and a new song. Did you know he was a singer, too?
“I went on an amazing trip to Montreal, where I learned that I am terrible at skiing and that Canada has excellent hospitals,” says comedian Stephen Kramer Glickman.
“Celebrity Show-Off” is the latest U.S. series that’s based on a Korean variety show (“My Little Television).
For Father’s Day, I’m highlighting three K-Dramas that deal with dads and the complicated relationships they have with their families: “Go Back Couple,” “Liver or Die” and “Brilliant Heritage.”
“I’d love to go to Tuva in Mongolia for their throat-singing festival,” says folk musician John McCutcheon, who was described by Johnny Cash as as the best instrumentalist he had ever heard.
“Artificial” actress Tiffany Chu says, “I like to see travel as a way to learn, understand, gain a new mindset and see things from a different perspective through the people, food, music and culture I encounter. We are all the same, just from different places with different experiences. It humbles and inspires me.”
While the challenges of feeling up close and personal with a group that’s not even in the same city are obvious, one of BTS’ charms is their ability to make fans feel valued and seen.
Though the crowd was sparse (due to social distance seating), the Baeksang Awards boasted plenty of star power. For the third year in a row, the hosts were Park Bo-Gum, Bae Suzy and Shin Dong-Yup.
Pojangmacha? Piggyback rides? Students cleaning classrooms? Just what is going on in K-Dramas?!
“We were able to enjoy our two-week honeymoon in Thailand without any complications,” says “Never Have I Ever” actress Richa Moorjani. “I don’t know when we’ll be able to travel again and I’m just so thankful we had the ability to go and witness some of the beauty of Thailand before coming home to a different reality (with the pandemic).”
