Not sure whether Jude Law is the most handsome man alive? Then check out the photos of Law in the February issue of Paper. If they don’t convince you, the story–which obsesses on the actor’s good looks–probably will. Law, who was the best thing about the overwrought Matt Damon flick “The Talented Mr. Ripley,” says that fame hasn’t eased his schedule any. “New York kind of set a new agenda for me,” Law says. “I was like, `I’m really tired: I’m doing this play.’ And people would say [blase American accent], `Oh my God, I’m doing this play, I’m writing a movie, directing a movie, I’ve got a fashion line, I’m DJ’ing at night.’ And I . . . went home, and that’s when Nylon started for me.”
Natural Nylon is the production company Law set up with his wife, actress Sadie Frost, and his former English roomies, “Trainspotting” stars Ewan McGregor and Jonny Lee Miller. One of the projects the team is working on is a biopic on the Beatles’ former manager, Brian Epstein.
Asked whether he’s afraid of being accused of going Hollywood, Law says, “I love changing environments. I like the changes in rules and approaches. People are quick to characterize the more cynical side of Hollywood, but there’s a lot of enthusiasm and desire to make films. I’ve met a lot of creative people in London who don’t make films.”
Us outs a handful of celebrity . . . virgins. Besides Gary Coleman and 17-year-old Leelee Sobieski, the February issue of the magazine claims that hottie Enrique Igelsias is saving himself for his nuptials.
“I am a virgin,” the 24-year-old singer is quoted as saying. “But when you talk about it, please don’t make fun.”
Also included in the “yeah, right!” list is lissome tennis star Anna Kournikova, 18.
“I’m still a virgin,” she says. “I do not let anyone even have a peep in my bed . . . not for love [or] affection.” This quote seems to contradict the Vanity Fair piece on her a few years ago when she, barely 16, reportedly was hot and heavy with Detroit Red Wings center Sergei Fedorov, now 30.
